This help page is currently protected from editing.

The Peglin Wiki maintains a set of Quality Standards enforced by the administrators in order to ensure information is both accurate and as void as possible of human bias.

The Contribution Guidelines and Wiki Rules are part of these standards.

Image Quality

As stated in the Contribution Guidelines, images should be uploaded in the .png format with minimal editing (i.e. removing backgrounds is acceptable (and preferred), but changing the colour pallet is not).

In addition, images should have the correct license attached to them (assignable when uploading a file) and have any extra categories applied to them (UI images, achievement images, etc.)

Article Quality

Articles should utilize the various templates the wiki has, filling them out as much as possible (though the "title" field can be ignored in most cases as it copies the article's name by default.

Grammar should also follow the rules set by the language of the article (American English for most pages), and link text should copy what is being linked too when possible (e.g. using Stone instead of starter orb #1).

Link formatting is outlined in the Contribution Guidelines.

Articles should clearly communicate the intended information in a concise but readable manner, as well as being properly categorized and organized to be consistent with other pages of the same type.

Protected Pages

Help pages, templates, and category pages will be protected from non-admin editing to prevent vandalism or information bloat, and have the {{Protected}} template preceding them.

If you wish to revise a page that is protected, sandbox your changes (a quick link will be provided on the protected template) and ask a wiki administrator to implement them, or directly ask an admin on the official Discord server.

Multilanguage Pages

The Peglin Wiki currently supports English and German language articles. Should you wish to contribute to a page of that language, switch to it before making your edits (supported pages will have an indicator in the top-right allowing you to swap the article language. If it is missing, the page most likely hasn't been translated yet).

Cleanup

Any page preceded by the {{Cleanup}} template should be rewritten/formatted to meet the wiki's quality standards and have the template removed.

The template will automatically add the Cleanup Required category to any page it is placed on.
