Damage Reduction Slime is a slime effect that can be applied to pegs by Balleviation or the Prime Slime relic. When Hit, damage reduction slimes become Durable and reduces the damage taken by 1 times the number of damage reduction slime pegs at the time the orb is fired. Visually, damage reduction pegs are covered in a dark blue, shiny slime. Rectangular pegs just have a dark blue colour and outline applied.

Unlike other slime effects, damage reduction slime goes away on its own, disappearing from the pegboard at the start of the player's next turn. They stay slimed when the board is refreshed, but are not restored when they are popped. Any kind of peg that can be Hit can be slimed. Critical Pegs and Refresh Pegs can move to slimed pegs and remain slimed, though this can only be achieved using Reorbanizer. If a Critical Peg is slimed, it will stop being Critical, despite the fact that when Durable Critical Pegs are Activated, they stay Critical.

Notes

  • Damage reduction slimes appear to be less durable than other slime effects, going away after 2 hits instead of 3.
