Navigation refers to the act of moving to one of the subsequent spaces on the map. The player has a unique peglin orb when navigating, which takes most relic effects into account.
Slots with flames on them will deal 2 misnavigation damage (5 in Cruciball 4)). They appear during encounter transitions, and on the ×0.5 damage slots created by the Weighted Chip.
