Invisible Miniboss

The Invisible Miniboss is a challenging elite that spawns in the mines alongside several (also invisible) enemies. As the name implies, it is invisible. Due to this, it cannot be targeted. The only visible enemy that appears during the fight is a Lightning Rod that is placed on the far-right side of the screen, to allow for healing with Infernal Ingot.

It has a custom board that can be seen with peg upgrades. Some of the pegs move upwards and some of them move horizontally.

There are four enemy types in this miniboss fight:

Basic (x4)

5 damage melee attack, 3 damage short ranged throw attack if behind an enemy, 500 HP (700 HP), Moves 1 space per turn, Cannot be targeted.

Explosive (x2)

12 damage self destruct melee attack, 300 HP (425 HP), Moves 1 space per turn, Cannot be targeted.

Miniboss (x1)

10 damage melee attack, 5 damage short ranged throw attack if behind an enemy, 1500 HP (2000 HP), Moves 1 space per turn, Cannot be targeted.

Lightning Rod (x1)

Takes half damage from targeted attacks and double damage from projectiles, 777 HP (1077 HP), Doesn't move, Is always targeted.

The order they appear on the board is:

Basic, Basic, Explosive, Basic, Explosive, Basic, Miniboss, Lightning Rod

Notes

  • The player receives permanent Blind 99 for the duration of this fight, as a way to visualize the invisible enemy/pegboard gimmick of this fight.
