Omegorb

Not to be confused with Ohmygorb!

The Omegorb is an uncommon orb that will downgrade pegs it hits, but has built-in Overflow.

Strategy

  • Omegorb is a risk-versus-reward orb, asking the question of whether it is worth the extra power and Overflow at the trade off of making subsequent shots worse. If possible, this downside should be mitigated when taking Omegorb.
  • Swoltorb and Reforbisher can help offset the damage loss pegs gain from Omegorb. Furthermore, Level 3 Swaltorb and Reforbisher at all levels outpace Omegorb in terms of upgrading pegs.
  • Glorious SuffeRing weakens Omegorb but negates the downgrade effect.
    • At Level 1, Omegorb + Glorious SuffeRing is a stronger version of a Level 1 Swaltorb with the addition of Overflow. At Level 2 and above, Omegorb effectively loses its upgrade/downgrade effect and transforms into a strong orb that has Overflow. Depending on your situation, the level you leave Omegorb at is important to consider.
  • Avoid applying Multiball and Morbid at all costs when using this orb, as it can lead to doing more harm than good very quickly.

Trivia

  • Its name is a portmanteau of "omega" and "orb".
  • Its mechanic is similar to Endless DevouRing.
